Steve is an LMFT and has worked as a therapist for over twenty-five years. He brings experience from practices of all sizes, as well as a decade of experience working as a therapist embedded in medical settings.
His work is grounded in the evidence-based science of therapy – but he has an open and curious mind. Research shows that many therapy approaches are helpful. The key is to find the right fit for each person’s needs. Therapy should be a comfortable relationship where issues are discussed, and options explored that can help folks move towards their goals.
Steve is comfortable working with most mental health challenges, including anxiety of all kinds, depression, chronic illness, grief, life transitions, relationship concerns, parenting, self-esteem issues, trauma and PTSD.
Steve has a master’s degree in counseling psychology, a post-master’s certificate in family psychology, both from the University of St. Thomas (MN). He works with adults (ages 16+) and couples.
