As your therapist, I prioritize meeting you where you are at. Whether you prefer a more direct, skills-based approach with homework each week or are wanting someone to provide a safe space for you to process, I have your back! I draw from the following therapeutic approaches in my sessions: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Strengths-Based, Interpersonal, and Solution Focused.
I believe that having a strong therapeutic alliance and rapport is very important for the therapeutic process. I will often check in with you to make sure therapy is still feeling helpful for you and give you the autonomy to make sure we are heading in the right direction for you!
I have experience with the following diagnoses/concerns: Anxiety, Depression, Trauma, Bipolar Disorder, ADHD, adjusting to new and changing circumstances, complex family dynamics, relational concerns, individuals who have family members with mental health concerns, and school/work stressors. In addition to helping you understand mental health concerns and learn coping skills, I can help you practice healthy communication and conflict resolution skills to use in friendships and family relationships, help you develop a self-care plan, help create a plan for getting school or work tasks done, or help with whatever you need in the given week 🙂
In my free time, I love taking my dog, Pepin, for walks outside, cooking, and trying out new restaurants in the area. My self-care includes spending time with friends and family, finding different ways to stay active and workout, and hosting events.
