Liz is a warm, empathic art therapist who is passionate about inviting individuals into the therapeutic experience where she walks alongside them in their journey toward discovering who they are. Liz works through a person-centered lens with aspects of gestalt and narrative approaches, as she believes that every person is the expert in writing their story. Her approach to therapy is built on a foundation of trust, support, validation with a dose of perfectly timed humor. She utilizes art therapy processes and materials with clients collaboratively, regardless of previous art experience, to allow for further exploration of one’s thoughts and feelings.
Liz has experience working with children, adolescents, and adults in a variety of settings including partial hospitalization programs, schools, hospitals, and residential facilities. She has worked with a wide variety of presenting problems that include, but are not limited to: Anxiety, Depression, Trauma, Self-esteem, Attachment, ADHD, and Adjustment disorders. Liz currently
Liz strives to create and mold the therapeutic space to fit each individual’s desires in order for them to grow and thrive. Other techniques include traditional talk therapy and mindfulness-based practices.
When Liz is not working, she enjoys making art for herself, relaxing with family, and exploring nature through hiking, backpacking, and camping.
